About Thompson's Point of View:
Classic southern soul food such as fried catfish, pork chops, wings. And all the sides you would expect, from yams to stuffing and mac and cheese.

My girlfriend and I went to Thompson's Point of View after stumbling across a positive review on Google. The prices are rather steep for what you get ($10-14). I ordered the catfish and my girlfriend ordered the meatloaf, both with sides of mashed potatoes w/gravy and mac & cheese. The catfish was decent, but a step below what you would get (for cheaper!) at Catfish Corner. The mac & cheese was also decent, with a nice and mild cheddar flavor, although it was a bit oily. The potatoes, however, were really bad. I could tell that the batch was probably made a few days before because there was none of the expected creaminess to the potatoes, only extremely lumpy and starchy mush. The potatoes were also unevenly cooked, which I attribute to the microwave that they use to reheat them. The meatloaf was equally bad -- an overcooked log of unidentifiable meat. Perhaps we ordered the wrong meals, but from our experience I definitely would not recommend it.
