| What: |
For the past 4 summers Reggie Bardach has hosted the Teahouse Concert Series in our backyard garden, at 939 25th Ave S. We've been graced with performances by Ham Carson, Jay Clayton, Greta Matassa, Susan Pascal, Brenda Bufalino, Pearl Django, and the late, great Floyd Standifer. Reggie will be hosting a return engagement by Pearl Django - purveyors of that swinging Gypsy jazz - on August 17th, at 5 pm. On Friday, the 15th, at 7 pm, we're going to try something a little different with an evening of words and music presented by Richard Wells called Mixed Voices. It's a spoken word event with the addition of multi-instrumentalist Mel Watson (Seattle resident, and formerly of the Australian band, "Fruit.") If you'd like to hear some good sounds, plus the spoken word, this one is for you. RSVP for either or both: 206 325-2576 Please check out www.teahouseconcerts.com for more info on the jazz, and click on the "Mixed Voices" link in the upper navigation bar for more info on the spoken word event. |
