Umoja Fest African American Day Parade

The Umoja Fest African American Day Parade will be held Saturday, August 2nd 12pm beginning at 23rd Ave and travel south on 23rd to Judkins St. The parade will feature drill teams from across the state and the return of the NW Hip-Hop Culture Float and parade troupe presented by 206 Zulu and many other exciting entrys.

Heal The Hood AAU Basketball Tourney

Other Umoja Fest attractions include the 1st Annual Heal The Hood AAU Basketball Tournament (Sat. 1pm, Sun 12pm). Inspired by the legendary Rucker Tournament based in Harlem, NY, the tournament will feature northwest' top high school athletes competing to promote alternatives to violence plaguing neighborhoods. The tournament will feature teams across the state including the Rotary Styles. The tournament was planned and coordinated by youth from the community as a part of the Game Recognize Game Urban Sports Marketing Academy.
