Childrens Day & Activities Friday kicks off the festival with Children's Day at 10 am featuring over twenty fun and educational activities for children followed by the Children's Day Activities List Facepainting Cultural Arts & Crafts Tie Dye Tees Obstacle Course Fitness Challenge w/ Willie Austin Foundation Basketball Camp w/ Marvin Thomas Memorial Foundation Double Dutch & Jump Rope Children's Open Mic Jam Session W/ Verbal Oasis Drumming & Percussion with AMD Box Hockey Waterballoon Dodge Ball Musical Chairs Tug-A-War Water Park Activities Obstacle Course Candy Necklace Making "Life Over Death" Hip-Hop Youth Empowerment Rally & Talent Showcase, Friday 4pm-8pm Hip-Hop Youth Empowerment Rally organized by the Hip-Hop Think Tank and featuring youth speakers and performers. Youth Violence Prevention Network Village of Hope Umoja Soul Of The City Awards Soul songstress and femcee Amanda Diva (Floetry/MTV/VH1) will headline Umoja Fest Soul Of The City Awards presented by the Hip-Hop Coffee Shop at Judkins Park Saturday August 2nd after the parade. Inspired by the legendary Rucker Tournament based in Harlem, NY, the tournament will feature northwest' top high school athletes competing to promote alternatives to violence plaguing neighborhoods. The tournament will feature teams across the state including the Rotary Styles. The tournament was planned and coordinated by youth from the community as a part of the Game Recognize Game Urban Sports Marketing Academy. Starting Saturday 1pm Finals Sunday 12pm Gospel Fest Sunday starts off with the Church in the Park and Gospel Fest.
