A man tried steal a bottle of liquor, but the clerk was able to get it away from him before he ran off. This is conveniently located across from the precinct, so a couple of cops are going to walk out of the building and look for him. Back male, black baseball cap, blue sweatshirt.
Update:
In an example of how police cruisers can impede police work, an officer spotted the suspect at a bus stop on broadway, but by the time he turned his car around and went back, the suspect was gone.
