It's the last day of July in 2008.  Here's the scoop:

10:00AM - 2000 E. Miller - Burglary - The caller is watching 3 people in the backyard of a house behind her break in. They broke the glass of a window and then started removing the shattered glass to allow entry. Males are dressed in black, one with gloves on. Update: Police arrived pretty quickly and found a broken window in back. Update x2: The caller reports that the suspects left the scene before police arrived. Last seen southbound on 20th - black males in dark clothing with cornrows. Update x3: Police can't enter the house, but can see a disturbed backpack and a TV that was dragged towards the window.
Update x4: An officer has spotted possible people matching the suspects description in the 1900 block of Boyer
Update x5: One suspect stopped, others went into or behind a house in the 1900 block of Boyer
Update x6: Police entered the originally burgled residence and found a lot of property lined up near the broken window, and signs that a large amount of jewelry may have been stolen.
Update x7: 10:12am - One outstanding suspect is wearing a multi-colored sweat jacket, may have ran into a park nearby. Police think he may live at a house in the 2600 block of E. Thomas. No description yet on the second (only one of the three has been detained)
Update x8: 10:29am - An officer has stopped two kids matching the suspect descriptions in the 2000 block of E. Crescent. They're going to take the witnesses over to try and ID them
Update x9: 10:46am - All three juvenile suspects are being taken to the E. Precinct to talk to burglary detectives. All officers are getting a "Good job" pat on the back from Capt. McDonagh.
Update x10: 10:52am - Officers checked recent calls on a cellphone that one of the suspects had and called back to a number in the call history from the time after the burglary today, reaching a woman who said she had been riding the #48 bus and lent her phone to a kid named Billy. So evidently Billy borrowed the phone to call one of the 3 suspects. He got off of the bus at 23rd & Madison, which would be one of the closest stops if you were heading to 2600 E. Thomas. He's described as a back male, in a black jacket, black shirt, with a white skeleton on the back of the jacket.
Update x11: 12:49pm - Burglary detectives are on the scene, and have found 4 bicycles in a neighboring garage that they believe belong to the suspects.
10:18AM - 1700 Summit - Burglary - Man arrived at his business and saw people inside. They might not be very active burglars - the caller says they might be sleeping in there
11:48AM - 1600 E. Republican - Alarm - Audible residential alarm
12:10PM - 30th S & S. Main - Fight Disturbance - 2 men fighting as they walk southbound together
12:13PM - 1100 23rd Ave - Disturbance - Man is in the .99 cent store, refusing to leave. Black male, 30s, 5'4", in a white t-shirt
12:14PM - 2600 S. King St - Disturbance - Tenant is in a verbal dispute with the landlord's girlfriend.
12:29PM - 30th S & S. Jackson - Car Prowl - Caller saw a man break out the windows of a white Chrysler. Black male, 20s, no shirt, denim shorts. A parking officer has spotted him going westbound on S. King. Update: Police arrived quickly and spotted the suspect walking southbound on 29th from King. Update x2: The witness has been taken over and positively IDd the suspect
1:52PM - 1401 S Lane - Shoplifting - Goodwill is holding a shoplifter who has open warrants
1:53PM - 406 34th S - Alarm - Residential alarm
2:29PM - 300 24th Ave E - Suspicious Circumstance - Caller reports a suspicious vehicle driving in the neighborhood. Silver Cadillac with tinted windows, driven by a white male, 40. Last seen westbound on E. Harrison. No details on what was suspicious
2:38PM - 21st & E. Union - Narcotics Activity - Caller reports drug activity on the corner. Suspect is a black male in a black sweatshirt & black jeans, associated with a gray '88 BMW 735i.
2:48PM - 2000 19th Ave E - Alarm - Audible panic alarm at a residence
2:54PM - 2100 E. Hamlin St. - Alarm - Silent panic alarm at a residence
2:58PM - 800 E. Roy - Disturbance - A man is yelling at the caller and waving around a bottle of wine. White male, 60s, dark shirt, beige pants
3:33PM - 100 E. Allison - Stolen Vehicle - Police have located a stolen vehicle, a green 4-door.
4:16PM - 25th S. & S. Washington - Domestic Disturbance - Caller reporting a fight that he had with his girlfriend a few hours ago that ended with her taking his car. (take that!)
5:03PM - 710 15th Ave - Disturbance - About 6 people involved in a physical fight
6:04PM - 100 14th Ave - Assault - Woman was assaulted by a female neighbor

Wasn't this the same block we had the "breakthrough" in the past week or two where stolen property was recovered/found? Tell me it's not the same stupid kids...

I just wanted to quickly post a warning for other dog owners whom visit the madrona park/beach/woods area with their dogs now need to be VERY careful. As of wednesday afternoon, 2 dogs were in the emergency vet clinic convulsing from a poison that the vet suspects was possibly slug bait? the vet suggests that someone was intentionally putting the bait out for dogs to eat.

Just please be very aware of your dog if walking or playing in this area as it is a fast way to kill a dog and also rack up a very hefty ER vet bill.
