Juneteenth Parade

Although there was some confusion for the route (it started at 23rd & Alder instead of 23rd & Cherry), and a brief delay due to an unexpected funeral procession, the second day of the weekend-long Juneteenth festival got off to a festive start with a parade from Garfield over to Pratt Park.

It seemed like the crowd favorites were the girl's drill teams. Check out the the attached video for all the highlights.

The festival goes on through Sunday at Pratt park.

Booths byeyes6 months ago (0 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
It was a great event at the time I went Saturday. Dancing and music.
One question. At all other events with booths there is the University of Washington, Seattle U and other learning institutions present to give information. These booths were noticeably absent and mainly bleak non-profit stuff.
